the downside

after moving the last server away from not very reliable hostitnow.com i got some weird lookup behavior on my OS X machine:

The www.domainname.ch was still pointing to the hostitnow servers while webmail.domainname.ch was already on the new servers. Different Browsers gave me the same (bad) behaviour so it was not a browser cache problem but a lookupd problem. Well i guess things can go wrong from time to time…if you have similar troubles then just try to flush the lookupd cache by starting a terminal and executing

lookupd -flushcache
