I have an ubuntu (6.10 a.ka edgy eft) box which serves as a SVN server. After frustrating experiences with apache/svn/https on OS X i was suprised how easy it can be:
- I installed apache2 and svn using aptitude and then configured apache/https according to this post on ubuntuforums.
- Later on I added libapache2-svn: sudo apt-get install libapache2-svn
- And then i configured SVN/DAV according to this guide by Viktor Zigo. (skipping the apt-get stuff)
Total Time ? Around 20 minutes (compared to three hours on the OS X box !)
